My bet is on Scott himself just having a little fun imitating these “guest artists.”
He’s very talented, and probably likes a chance to stretch, and tease us at the same time.
Yesterday’s strip was signed “Loosen” not Larson, though it was a good imitation.
Bill Watterson is not only retired but very shy.
When he actually did step out of retirement and draw some “Pearls Before Swine” strips about 10 years ago, he didn’t sign them, so chances are he wouldn’t sign this…
Nor would someone imitating him.
Today’s strip looks to me like a mix of his and Scott’s styles.
Love to see who’s next.
And whether I’m right or wrong, hopefully we’ll learn the truth when Scott gets back from “vacation.”
I remember this from a number of years ago, and it has been one of my favorite WD strips (and I haven’t been a consistent Calvin & Hobbs fan). Nothing against the “usual” strips, but this one lends itself so well to the overall WD theme!
