I hate to see what would happen when he gets a bottle of Scope in the mail.

Since I turned 40, I have received mail from ARRP everyday! I am now 80 and I still get this most annoying garbage mail everyday!

I would not join ARRP if they gave me free ins. That’s how bad I loath this company. The same goes for the ads..two of the same ads in a row…

We got them, but haven’t renewed in over a decade.

This is what happens when people internalize the idea that old is bad. Eventually, they turn into what they have been mocking.

And the impact is quite devastating.

I got my first “Join AARP” offer in the mail at age 18. Now that I’m 64, I get one perhaps every month, usually with some “free offer” for some cheap, cheesy item I don’t want.

It’sNot the first one. It’s the next 11,952 cards they send you.

I didn’t think it was that traumatic of an experience. But I considered all the good things that came with it, one being retired. I also get a discount with my phone provider.

A co-worker posted his on his cubicle wall. He was about 27 at the time.

In Canada it’s CARP. Appropriate, because that’s all they seem to do about most things. :(

This one actually made me laugh out loud.

I was in my late 40s when AARP and other retirement groups started sending literature to me, I shall not accept such until I am 65. I am Generation X, Like Susan B. Anthony I shall not call myself old because I shall be young until the Crack of Doom!

Have they started sending them out to 20 somethings yet?

So age 45?
