I have a hospital therapy dog. If we didn’t care about others, we wouldn’t be doing this. I was a social worker for many, many years. It is a helpful thing to be able to be concerned for others, do what is possible to help, and then move on to the next person who needs help without dwelling on the previous ones. Anyone who can’t let go of what they have seen and been unable to do to help someone else does not belong in a job helping others. There is nothing wrong with people who are sensitive, but there are better jobs for them that won’t haunt their sleep.
People are taking this advice in two different ways. Some take it as not to be worried about other people being a threat and other people are taking it as advice not to be concerned about other people. I prefer to take the former view and not worry about what may never happen or “Never trouble trouble until trouble troubles you.”

I always liked the suggestion of not letting someone in your head rent free.

Devoted Christians are concerned about others – especially family. That leaves boozed up Aunty out.

I grant to very few people the power to influence how I feel about myself.

Well, he may have been indicted, and probably will be again, but he’s still pretty worrisome… ☺

Worrying about people that do not worry about you only causes you trouble- – forget about the others.
