Pat McManus (RIP) always wrote about factoring in the “consequences” of doing a job. Always multiply the hours by 10 and then realize there just isn’t enough time to do the dishes.

Poor Grandma works so hard raising those kids without help. Does she have any family or neighbors who can help? (It’s only a comic, dear).

Last weekend, I needed to replace a light bulb on the stair’s upper landing. Next morning I saw that the entry to the stairs bulb had just burned out,replaced it. Then I open the oven and the oven light is out, replaced it. I was going shopping and a bathroom light went out over night. Yes, 4 in less than 24 hours. The joys of home ownership.
