I remember when that model year came out. My parents bought a new ’64 Chevelle Malibu station wagon. 283 V8 and Powerglide.

When I was his age I wasn’t dreaming lusty dreams about cars, but to each his own.

A question for you guys out there. Would a teenage boy today really want a car from the 1950s/60s? That’s kind of like my generation wanting a Model T… isn’t it?

Well, Baldo, it’s sweet and cute to dream about it, but you’re going to have to do the hard labor to make your dream come true! It’s sitting out in your driveway!

Early 1960s Impalas were clunky/ sofa on wheels/uncool middle class family cars that smart families would trade in after 3 years when they started falling apart, few made it to 10 years/100,000 miles and it even got worst in the 70s.

He should have his girlfriend driving them. That would make it an awesome dream.
