That’s about three out of ten thousand high school basketball players make the NBA. Those high school players of course, won’t pay attention to that statistic.
Since the Great White Shark is an apex predator, or close to it, lots of other fish down the food chain must have these toxic chemicals in their bodies.
The sharks are just the final recipients of all the toxic crap humans have been dumping ito the ocean for decades. Being the top of the food chain Does carry risks nowadays that were Not a factor for the first several million years of their existence. A fact worth considering, when one realizes Our species is Also on the top of the food chain.
The other 99.97% of high school basketball players make slingshots out of their snacks and athletic supporters and become fig tree scientists as a result of that activity. I know these things. ~ Alberto DeSalvo

I taught a vocation class and had many students whose only plan was to be a pro: Basketball or football player or singer. I’d regularly share stats on the odds of scoring (bad pun) a job as a pro-athlete or singer then tell them: “Have a back up plan!”
If I’m not mistaken, great whites don’t have cancer and live a long time. Maybe we should be researching that percentage of poisonous crap to stop cancer in us!
Little town of Kinston, NC, (Kinston High School enrollment 632) has had 1.4% of alumni players go to the NBA. Current NBA player is Brandon Ingram, Duke/Pelicans.
What’s REALLY interesting is the fact that most of those toxic chemicals turn up in common s*p*i*c*e*s in our supermarkets! Maybe the sharks have been shopping there as well! ;-p

I would want to chew up carefully a fig from the Strangler, and be careful not to choke on it.

Are Strangler Figs the type of trees that are often seen in photos of the ruins of temples around Angkor Wat?

0.03% is 3 in 10,000, isn’t it? That doesn’t sound so colossally rare.

So, if those toxic elements are in the blood, wouldn’t they also be in the flesh? Is eating shark meat hazardous to our health?
