I read the wiki page on him to refresh my memory. I knew he was “wee”, but didn’t realize he was less than one altuve in height — 5’4"

I cannot remember the former player who happened to be in the booth within the last 5 years when the team went into a shift, and they asked him what he could have hit against it. He thought for a moment and said something like 280. They replied that is less than your average for most of your career, you think it is an effective tactic? He said no! I could only hit that because I am 70 something years old!

IIRC Ted Williams would not change his batting even when teams did the “Ted Williams” shift

    March 28,2023—NEW YORK TIMES

A real doozy from the sports world.

Kansas City Chiefs superfan Xavier Babuder charged with bank robbery, jumps bail.

“Wealthy superfan” revealed to be living out of his car.Robbed credit union in Oklahoma while driving to Kansas CIty road game in Houston.

Bail bondsman who was also a Chiefs fan put up $80,000.00 bond out of sympathy—-and Babuder cut off his ankle monitor and diappeared.

At arraigment before this,Babuder asked for permission to “visit family” in Arizona—-on Super Bowl weekend.Denied.

Babuder also won a $100,000.00 bet on the Super Bowl, but he can only collect the money in person. He ran anyway.

And once again Bill has gone into caricature mode to represent Keeler. Check out his photograph on Wikipedia:
