There are store nails. And there are hand-forged nails. What are these nails? And will they hold up in the light of day? And if so, for how long?

Almost all magical descriptions of iron say that it is largely impervious to magic. (Pliny the Elder (23–79 CE) recommends driving iron coffin nails to your doorjamb to repel malicious spirits, and using iron in general as a counter against magic.)* That would include magical aiming of nails.
