I’ve found retirement to be the opposite actually. I have no set work hours so I end up working on stuff every day. (…and there are no end of things to do)
Since I was forced into retirement in 2016, ever since then, I’ve said “every day is a Saturday”. But the drawback, if you want to call it that is, it’s not that easy or important to actually know what day it is, unless you have something to do.

And when the chores stack up, every day can feel like a Monday.

Looks like you’re working on a backache, pal.

I often lay in bed before getting up and try to remember what day it is. Retirement is great fun!

My jobs never end. I am busier now than before I retired.

That kind of retirement is absolutely boring. It is not what my retirement is all about. I am very busy.

Good for you, Bud. or Ben. Oh well, doesn’t matter anymore.

Sunday is for church. Monday thru Friday might have doctor appointments, but Saturday is always free (unless the grand-kids are coming over).
