It’s time for a visit to the optician.

It’s a good thing he wasn’t on highway 101.

It wouldn’t matter where I was from, going the posted speed limit of 65 on hwy 70. On the other hand, two current highways around here Brutus would get arrested for sure, going way too slow on hwy 5 or way too fast on hwy 99.

Good thing he stopped him before he got to I-90!

I took the wrong direction today going to gym from a different starting point. BEST drive ever! Not much traffic cruising at 65-70 mph, all woods and I had never seen a drawbridge before. I didn’t want to turn around. And I didn’t for about 30 miles

We had that problem on I-70 before that became the speed limit.

Can Brutus’ old jalopy even go that fast?

Now say ‘Yes, officer’ and wait for your ticket. I hope you’re driving home, and not going to the office.

BOY!! Brutus can’t seem to win on the job or on the road!

In upstate New York, a cop followed a couple of little old ladies who were driving really slowly. He eventually stopped them to check if anything was wrong.

The driver said “what’s wrong officer? I’m doing the 20 mph speed limit” and the cop said “This is Route 20 and the speed limit is 55”. Then he looked over at the passenger who seemed like she was about to die, so he asked the driver “what’s wrong with her?” The driver replied. “I don’t know, officer, we apparently just came off I 90.”

Senior moment!

Brutus might not have been too observant, but at least he wasn’t stopped for distracted driving!

perhaps someone needs to make the prints bigger or put the signs in different spots so it don’t read differently. :J

I leaned the hard way also when it turned out I-90 doesn’t mean you can do 90

I was recently down in South Carolina playing golf and traveled on SC-420. Strangely, all the route signs were missing.

I’ve been on I-35 doing well over 55 many times.

35 mph is 56 kph so he merely misread his speedometer.

He was following the flow of traffic in his lane.

I hope the officer just gives Brutus a warning for not being rude and actually being honest.

If Brutus mistakes a route sign from a speed sign, he may need to take driver training, or take the bus.

My car puts the speed limit on the dash console when it passes a sign. It doesn’t work if there’s a truck between my car and the sign.

Brutus’ thinks, oh well I tried…

Might just really need those glasses he went to the Eye Doctor for and might also need to wear them when he drives. He might get a warning but he also might get him to retake his eye exam and show proof. Happens to the best of us….

Old—and very stale—joke from the 50s: Guy was caught doing a 100mph through San Diego on the 101. Afterward Cop says to partner, “Glad he wasn’t on 395.”

I know this happens, because I keep getting stuck behind some guy doing 45 mph on 45 hiway, instead of the posted 55!

So those “SPEED ZONE AHEAD” signs don’t mean I can go faster?

Can and does happen while glancing amid general conditions. The very cause of people finding themselves on incorrect freeways and occasionally in accidents while trying to correct the error. A good reason for going far around.

Maybe Brutus needed that ophthalmologist appointment he had earlier in the week.

I drive Rt 55 everyday to work, the speed limit is 65.

Huh! Another revenue raising trap; just like them to put the 35 limit sign behind a small bush and not remove the bush when it has grown.
