No different than what I’ve been doing with my Annie and Panther. I feed them canned cat food at night and while they’re eating it or waiting for me to put it in front of them, I reach over and try to pet them. I’m a long way from getting to kiss them yet, but I touched Annie several times a while ago when I was feeding them. She had a similar reaction as Chesney. She can’t talk, so she just slapped at me when I petted her (but she did not extend her claws!). I’m not letting her reaction discourage me from continuing to touch her every chance I get. Oh yeah – I came SO CLOSE to having Panther in my bed with me Saturday night. She was on the bed when I went in my bedroom. Usually, when that happens, she promptly jumps off the bed and usually leaves the room. But she stayed put. She was giving me that “deer in the headlights” look, but she stayed on the bed as I changed into my pajamas, sitting on the edge of the bed. I turned off the bedside lamp before crawling under the blankets, hoping to help calm her. And she stayed for a couple seconds as I settled under the blankets. But then I heard that thud that said she jumped off the bed. But it’s progress! I keep hoping that one morning, I will wake up to find Annie and/or Panther on my bed. Maybe some day.
NATIONAL IEP WRITING DAY. What is an IEP? An IEP, or Individualized Education Program, is a compilation of legal documents that are the layout of special education instruction and services needed for student with disabilities to thrive while in school, at home, and in the community.Writing an IEP is an under-appreciated job requirement special education teachers and teams provide each year. Statistically, almost 65% of teachers don’t like writing IEPs, and an additional 80% dislike writing Present Levels and the Goals/Objectives of an IEP. The amount of paperwork that needs to be submitted per student is extremely time consuming.

WORLD PARTY DAY. I’m really not a party animal, so I’ll pass on this.
If this string lasts much longer, More Cats Than Sense may end up with a full time job of making prints for me. I love the last panel, but am trying to restrain myself.
Surely this isn’t the first time she’s kissed his little furry head.
I’m going to harken back a few days to the discussion of oxalates. I was scheduled to see the urologist two days after those postings. Because I’ve had 4 procedures to deal with those stones, he gave me a paper with a low oxalate diet.I have to avoid: cranberries, tea, coffee, nuts, dark green veggies like asparagus, spinach and broccoli, rhubarb, black pepper and strawberries and nuts, caffeine, salt and chocolate. This part will be easy for me . The only things on that list that I eat are nuts and strawberries in the summer. Chocolate is a hard one but gave it all up before and can do it again.
He also gave me a list of supplements to take. Probiotics, vitamin C, D-Mannose, cranberry tablets and magnesium. I got all of that stuff yesterday. I now feel like an old person with all of my bottles lined up. I don’t like this. The only real meds I take are metformin and spironalactone. (for my feet swelling issue) Why do some of these supplements have to be so big? The D-Mannose capsules could choke a horse. I have trouble swallowing large pills and and usually use my pill splitter but these have powder in them.
Oh dear darling little Chesney, you don’t need to hide your feelings. We already know that you are a very sensitive and – deep inside – very loving kitten! ♥
I had to order Pheromone collars and put them on my Oliver, and Tyler, yesterday. Oliver, at almost 13 and brother Tyler, same age, got into it Saturday. Oliver is CRANKY, especially when around the new kittens. Since Christopher J (Oliver’s nemesis) passed in October, Oliver doesn’t have to use his Alpha cat status to protect his gentle pus*y brother anymore. Sweet Tyler has totally befriended, and plays with, the 2 new kittens. NOT Ollie. The pheromone collar will hopefully calm Ollie’s anxiety. But, oh Lord, I now have to smell those collars as both cats are almost always by or on me! The smell hasn’t calmed my anxiety though! My anxiety was mostly because I hadn’t prepared my income tax info yet.
But, today I (and Mark) finished preparing it and sent it off to our tax accountant. _B I G _ S I G H
Awww, looks like Chesney has a soft spot for Annie after all. Too bad he’d never admit it in a million years. On another note, saw six robins and two rabbits while out walking today.

Annie does not seem to have any regrets. And Chesney has a lot to think about.
