I always joke that I’m going to use them to wallpaper my living room.

That cvs receipt has become such a cliché, people would miss it. And it’s fun to read. A few of the discounted items are already in my bag, so the coupons will expire before I need replacements. Others are for stuff a guy – or most guys – would never need. The best ones apply to the candy aisle – my favorite.

If you can’t use the coupons, you might get away with adding it as emergency toilet paper.

The sales staff know I always tuck the long ones in as a tie and see if it will reach the ground (I’m 5’10"). I’ve come “this close” to reaching the ground so far. Maybe someday…

Checkout counters are one of the few places dot-matrix printers are still used.

Is anyone here old enough to remember the term “paperless society?”

I don’t need no stinkin receipt.

Every time I go to CVS, there is only none or one other customer …the store is scummy and management turnover is horrible. I do not buy anything except my RX because that’s dictated by ins.

I don’t see why everyone picks on CVS. Lots of stores generate reams of receipt paper.

I think the lengthy receipts began with Kmart. The actual receipt was smaller than the attached advertising and coupons. One time I asked the checkout clerk for a bag for the printout, as it was so long.

Four items on my Shop-Rite receipt but its a foot long. Twenty items on my Walmart receipt and its only five inches long. Maybe if Shop-Rite did not spend so much on register paper, maybe they could lower their prices.
