In breeds that don’t usually carry their tails high, #3 is usually read as “I’m better than you and I’ll fight you if you act like you don’t believe it.”

My dog is very quiet, and I do have to read her tail sometimes when we are out walking and run into other dogs. She never barks at them, so the tail is all I have to go on. Generally, she is happy to see anyone at all. She is still trying to make friends with some of the birds, so far with no luck.
