Doesn’t Alice see the “General” Dill ? He’s right in front of her the whole time?

Is Dill trying to dare Alice to go beyond her regular tantrum level? Careful what you ask for, Dill.

Dill, you’ve got a bright future in comedy clubs; that was hilarious! Also a shout-out to Nara’s wise but funny response!

I’ve been enjoying this trip for a long time. But it is time for me to ask a very important question. Did the creator of this strip ever meet my sister? Because I swear that Alice is totally modeled after her. I know he never met me however because while I am a little like Petey, I am bookish, but the fussy eater & cartoonist/diorama creator is nothing like me. I realize that since he has passed away, I’ll probably never have an answer. Or be able to congratulate him on how perfectly he captured her.

I think it’s different because today she’s announcing it. LOL I’m surprised Dill is being critical of Alice. I suppose he loves her despite her faults.

I miss Richard Thompson like we all do. But somehow I am glad, little Alice never got old enough to have PMS! :)

As with Vince M above, Dill’s wording in panel 3 led me to wonder if the Wedekind family are Jewish; but it’s more likely just a coincidental resemblance to The (first of the) Four Questions of the Passover seder.

Alice, the BRINGER of MISERY, the CHILD of CHAOS, is on a magnificent, well-nigh apocalyptic rant. But I suspect that after all this venting she will run out of steam and the Great Tantrum will fizzle…..
