You take you small victories where you can, at least he cleaned his room.

Is there somewhere else she wanted him to put everything? Because even though she uses the word “junk,” she doesn’t seem to have meant for him to throw everything away, just to put it away — at least that’s what I’d have taken “Clean your room” to mean at that age. (I’ll admit there’s a pretty good chance he didn’t put everything in the closet neatly.)

That’s my parents’ and wife’s definition of “picking up” – moving everything from visible random piles to hidden random piles.

If I was the parent or the keeper, I would squash this bug.
