I think I had too much bubbly last night! Peppermint Patty at her school desk cracking jokes today is beginning to look like Charlie Brown’s sister to me! Whoa!

Years ago, my lunchbox was thrown down a grate by some students. Luckily, I got it back. And by coincidence, it was a Peanuts lunchbox.

Last night, PEANUTS was mentioned on Young Sheldon.

“Needles, CA, where Snoopy’s brother, Spike lives.”

See Pastis? THAT’S how you do that.

Hard to arrrrgue with that, matey.

At least the place is not like a Blackboard Jungle (The title of a 1954 movie that introduced the song to kick off the rock ’n roll era called “Rock Around The Clock”).

Maybe you could ask your parents to give you money for cafeteria food.

Was there really a coldre of lunch box thieves? In my day, one’s lunchbox was sacred turf. You might trade for something in the box, but never steal it.

Wow. Look at little Sally talk about Blackbeard’s jungle? She must’ve had a more interesting story time than my day.

Wonder what she had for a lunch box. Since this is the ’70s (1976 in fact, nothing later than May ’76 at this point), Bugs Bunny, Mickie Mouse, Scoopy-Doo, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Tom and Jerry, Howdy Doody, Superman, Batman, Green Hornet, I Love Lucy (did they even do I Love Lucy lunch boxes?), Roy Rogers, Flintstones, Jetsons, Donald Duck, Porky Pig, Touche Turtle, Emergency!, M*A*S*H, or maybe even Snoopy (a bit meta on that)?

I would have thought blackboard jungle since it’s a school
