Likely in 18 years college will be online at little to no cost. Other than football games and the desire to get away from home there will be little need for an on campus experience. When I started college in 1970 in California tuition was $100 semester but only about 45% of HS grads went to college, now it is 75% so states are unable to fund the increased number of students at the same level.

At the rate college tuition is increasing, you’ll be lucky if $26,000 pays for a semester by the time your newborn get sold enough for it.
