The Auction this week had hundreds of pieces of Uranium glass and several hundreds of ‘30s salt and pepper shakers. The white glass kind with flowers and Dutch prpeople on them. Everything sold for waaaay more than it was worth. We got a small dish that was in the garage and overlooked. Pretty house in a guard gated community, and you wouldn’t believe how many collections she had. Clear crystal,, stamps, ivory figurines, you name it, it was unbelievable.
INTERNATIONAL NO DIET DAY. This should be every day too!
NATIONAL BEVERAGE DAY
KENTUCKY DERBY
NATIONAL PLAY OUTSIDE DAY. I won’t be playing outside today, but if it isn’t raining, I might sit outside and read a book until it’s time to go to work. Then I might work outside a bit (we have SO MANY PLANTS! in my Walmart garden center)
NATIONAL BOMBSHELLS’ DAY
FREE COMIC BOOK DAY. They aren’t what people think of when they think comic book, but I got several free Garfield paperback books yesterday at a local library book sale.
JOIN HANDS DAY
NATIONAL CREPE SUZETTE DAY
NATIONAL HOMEBREW DAY
NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY
NATIONAL START SEEING MONARCHS DAY. I wish I would, but I don’t expect to see any today.
Good old Chez, always funny in stand up. 10 hour drive yesterday – gold country was mostly green grasses very few wildflowers. But Volcano had a big Cinco de Mayo festival – lots of good food and very friendly people. Everyone loved Fred. Forecast is for snow most of the way over the Carson Pass – 50 miles or so? Should be interesting!
Just before we left San Diego to come back, LROS told me that a pollen alert had been issued for Hurricane. They were spot on! I’ve been living on drugs and going thru Kleenex like never before. This is day 5.
Just as funny as the Dog’s routine. Turnabout is fair play, I suppose. On another note, saw two chickadees, three rabbits, eight robins, a squirrel, three finches, a junco, and a spotted towhee while out walking today.
