Well, y’know….they needed more people.

Yeah guys the igniter needs electricity to fire the rocket motors.

First rule of troubleshooting: is the power connected?

I hope they have enough extension cords to reach the moon.

Nobody thought to actually wire the power properly. That plug is a code violation.

Have you tried to turn it off and on?…

This reminds me of the time when I was working at a TV station. We had two vans and one of them had a flat tire. Two of our engineers were out there discussing whether you could put the wheel from a Dodge on the hub of a Ford. The discussion went on for several minutes until one of our producers interrupted and said you absolutely cannot do that. They indignantly asked him why. He pointed out that the wheel of the Dodge had holes for five bolts and the hub of the Ford had only four bolts.

Well, duh! It’s not rocket surgery, nerds!

3 of us were doing an electronic equipment test and it was not working. I decided to double check the cable. I picked it up off the floor and it was the right one. It was disconnected for a previous test and we forgot to reconnect it, duh! Hey guys!

Not like they’re rocket scientists. Oh wait a minute as Emily Litella used to say “Never mind”

That must be one long power cord!! Or a very short flight!

Those scientists are short a few degrees. Once they figure it out they’ll need a longer extension cord to achieve orbit. Yip yip yip yip yip

The first two things to check are whether you actually have power in the house and whether what type of contraption you want to use is plugged in.

Give them the third degree.

Please review back to today’s Aunty Acid. These guys tend to over think things.

Once they plug it in, don’t forget to reboot it ;-)

Umm, that the wrong end of the extension cord we are seeing.. and, the wrong type of plug on the rocket.

Once you got the degree, all is forgotten, silly boy…

Come on, it’s only rocket science. It’s not like it’s music theory.

First thing that they WOULD check actually….

This is why you wait for the tech guy.

One job I had, 4 electrical engineers (male) and 10 techs (male) couldn’t figure out why an electrical lock wouldn’t work. I spent 3 hours reading the Operations & Maintenance Manual and solved the problem that they’d been fighting with for over a week(while I was on vacation).
