Some people spend a lifetime trying to figure that out; others seem to know from a young age. I have often envied those who seem to have identified their path and get to spend their lives perfecting it, but when I look back on my struggles and indecision, my starting and stopping, changing course and reinventing, I recognize what a long strange trip it has been, and I feel somewhat satisfied that it was indeed rather interesting and varied and rich with experience.
