What I liked about “Secret Agent” (“Danger Man” in the UK) was that it was a wonderful low-key show where spycraft was more important than flashy clothes. Patrick McGoohan showed how a pair of eyeglasses and a slouch disguise worked better than guns. Plus, of course, the American version had that great theme song “Secret Agent Man” recorded by Johnny Rivers.

Patrick McGoohan later starred in that incredible high-concept series about what happens when a secret agent retires in “The Prisoner”.
