Something to recall in your sunset years.

I’m watching it again on weekday mornings at 0530 local time. It brings back memories.

This Grampa would say, “why are you looking at that thing, when you have a beautiful sunset happenin’?”

‘’It was a hot day in July. We were working out of the Bunko squad. My partner was Joe Gannon and I’m wearing women’s underwear.’’

And every variation on that gag, teenage pandas might imagine…..

Why is that kid looking at his phone when he has such a lovely sunset to enjoy??

Grampa must know Joe Friday, then!

I was thinking he was commenting on looking at the sunset, but the Dragnet reference…I’m not sure they want to find what they’re looking for.

My mom was an extra in the funeral segment of West Wing, its on her SAG forms. She made more as an old lady doing silent bits than her pension. A sports magazine and a geriatric EMS manual are the ones I kept

A classmate of mine from HS had a walk-on on Dragnet and he isn’t credited either… and he actually had a couple of lines.

Jack Webb was so cool that he created a TV show to give work to his ex-wife and her new husband when they had fallen on hard times.

Was he an extra on radio or TV?

Grandpa should curate his wiki page to include Dragnet appearance.

Let me tell you about something I like to call Grampapedia.

The drama teacher at my high school had a walk on part on “Route 66.” I think he had a line. My aunt had quite a few walk on parts in soap operas.

I’m a huge fan of the original Perry Mason series. Just as much fun is counting the “Perry Mason-ites” — people in movies who’ve been in Perry Mason. There’s one sci-fi movie where 11 of the 14 cast members were Mason-ites (it takes place entirely on a space ship, hence the limited cast.)
