We can’t agree on what unites us.

The human condition.

It doesn’t suit the powers that be. We might wake up.

Fair question.

…because we choose to remain divided.

Because what used to unite us – the wisdom of the ages – has now become politically incorrect in the classroom and in all forms of media, and political correctness is enforced with a vengeance by those with the reins of power. The need: wise, charismatic, strong leadership.

Because one side is entrenched in the divisive base of ‘never compromise’ denial, lying and racism.

Small minds.

You would have to ask the people who insist on seeing the differences in people as reasons for keeping people separated into distinct groups.

IMHO, I believe we’re a nation of many differing opinions. And always have been. Like the many cultures that make up our society. What the “orange a$$ hat” did was give permission for some 7 million of us to persecute anyone who didn’t hold their views. I’m glad we’re beginning to see that behavior is self-defeating and has no future.
