The ennui is strong in this one.

Is she too insufferable to have friends? Maybe she should go hang with Agnes and Trout, see how life is on the other side of the tracks.

Maybe she could help her poor mother around the house and take care of her little brother.No, scratch that last one—we don’t want to see Baby Nick traumatized for life.

Is she gonna nag her father for a pony again, because she’s bored??

At least he gave her something to do.

Dull and Boring

I never knew Katy had musical ability, until I heard her play the doldrums.

It’s a little less boring when you suddemly have the mission of pummeling someone close to you into susbmission. …or find a snake.

I hear moles are always boring.

Read a book, Katy.

Go terrorize your Dad, that’s always good for a few laughs.

Most definitely worth it…..

It’s not summer yet

Summer vacation – worst time of year for me when young. We only went to the library one day a week so I had a limited number of books to read (having read all my old books in the house already) and going to the beach – sun=sunburn and sand= discomfort.

One summer day camp was tried – I would wake my parents long before they needed to get up and say “I don’t want to go in the p, double o, l (el)” having being told not to say that word again. I am NOT an outdoor person.

I liked going to school (other than gym) – there were things to do and read and learn.

And either way – school or camp – the other kids would be picking on me and making fun of me.
