Don’t know why, but I don’t bother with cell phones.
We have a pair because my sweet blue-eyed girl has a medical issue, so we need it for possible emergency contacts when I’m out. Otherwise, mine gets used about once a month for the cell phone contract, and occasionally by spammers.
Friends seem to have the handheld entertainment centers wired to their navel. They want to show me photos of this or that, but most can never find ‘the’ photo without a lot of swipe/nope, swipe/not it – swipe/I know it’s here – swipe/well, I’ll find it and send to you. Oh joy.
About then, I make my goodbyes, and wonder off to find something pleasant and productive to do. Think about family, mow the lawn, water the flower pots on the deck, sit and watch rabbits run the yard, laugh at squirrels trying unsuccessfully to get into feeders, which they already have failed to do several times, and just ‘be.’

99% of my texts are codes so I can log into one of the several hundred accounts that I have.

And, when the power goes off, we will still ‘be.’
