Transcript:
Woman: Toxins in the Thanksgiving dinner! Salmonella in improperly handled turkey! Botulism in undercooked stuffing! E.coli cross-contamination on unsterilized kitchen counters! Eight different "persistent organic pollutants" in butter, celery, green beans and squash! Coumarin in cinnamon! Oxalates in sweet potatoes! Poisonous gasses spewing from over-heated non-stick pans! Artery-clogging fats in gravy! Glycemic index-exploding corn syrup in marshmallows! And who-knows-what in the tap water used to wash fungicides off the genetically-engineered veggies! Cathy: ... um. OK. We'll see you in a few days. Woman: Can you believe it?? Our daughter-in-law didn't offer to bring a dish!!

I think I’d be terrified to eat what my mother-in-law cooks if I was Cathy. By the way, IS there something wrong with corn syrup in marshmallows?

I wish C. Guisewite would draw normal full backgrounds (like she used to) - I don’t like the short horizontal flowery lines representing backgrounds!! Otherwise, I love this strip and wish the weekly SF Chron. would publish it -in addition to Gocomics, of ocurse :)

One can’t help but eat a peck of dirt before you die, my Mom told me what a peck is, Lets just say IT’S A LOT. I’m just surprised me and everyone else has lasted this long… Scientist and Doctors don’t have all the answers…
