No male in my household has ever even touched a christmas tree, let alone decorate it. Their motto..”real men don’t decorate”. That is why there is no tree anymore, in my house. They hate them, so I don’t bother. A sad state of affairs, but that is what I get for marrying a man with a father who was the same way. Bad role model.

I wouldn’t go as far as calling him a redneck. No football, beer or hunting. He just had a poor role model in his dad. You’re right about the diaper part. Wouldn’t touch them. We are talking, cloth, pins and smelly diaper pail days.

This is why men are only allowed to put the tree up and the lights on, then maybe the tree topper after we’re done decorating if we can’t reach.
