Hopefully that plugger’s father taught him to carry a first aid kit too in case of a whittling accident to his hand.

I think the Boy Scout Manual I had in the ’50s is banned.

The pocket knife I had when I was 10 is just a stub of what it was new. I carry a icy Buck. They don’t even make his model any longer. My favorite knife.

How many people are freaking out right now that a dad gave a 10-year-old kid a knife?

If you can’t sharpen your own pocket knife you don’t need to carry one.

My pocket knife sits in the tool box. I always end up using a key like a saw when i need it. Maybe i’ll start carrying it when the phone unlocks everything.

If only Dad had taught me how to sharpen it properly. :)

Not only did I carry it I took it to school hanging from a loop on my belt and no one batted an eyelash. Knife safety was taught and learned early in Cub Scouts.

I’m not sure what became of my Cub Scout and Boy Scout knives. These days my go-to knife is a Swiss Army Deluxe Tinker.

Just leave it in the car before going through TSA lines. Just to be safe, eh?

Just two things we like about Switzerland, the army knife, and…their flag is considered a big plus.

Growing up every adult man I knew carried a knife. I still do, however my made in the USA Official BSA knife has been retired.

My first and second pocket knives were lost. I used a string of cheap ones until last year. Then I really splurged. Birdseye maple scales, Damascus steel blade. A working work of art.

This assumes that the TSA hasn’t stolen your knife.

I always carry a “pocket knife” and usually keep a spare one in my “glove box”

Uh, a trusty favorite knife? Which grandpa gave me? Well, It would be illegal now, with 11 inch blade and Kauhava handle it is a ridiculous thing. And I was 6! And I still have it and do respect it, because of heritage.

I still dont have my rifle my grandpa made for me when I was 11, a .22 sniper rifle, with I learned to shoot founds. Back then in 60’s no one wondered small caliber firearm dings. My grandpa was a chief in arms factory, I recollect we had some 30 rifles and 10 handgunds in cabinet.

Still best times I had when fishing.

Husband has bought several new replacement knives over the decades.

I still have my Barlow knife that I got to take with me to Girl Scout camp. My parents were extremely right that I would NOT like being there and I wrote a letter daily to them asking them to come and get me – and to my sister telling her to tell them to come and get me – but I do still have the knife. I was rather impressed it being a Barlow as in “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” he described his knife as “as a sure enough Barlow”.
