My Past cat Nadia suffered from this. But only once she reached her teen years and her little hips got arthritic. Floof’s problem seems to be more like my Sara’s issue. She’s a scaredy cat LOL
My darling Macushla (pictured) when she was young used to jump to the high cabinet in the kitchen. She could jump to the counter, to the top of the fridge, to the high cabinet and down again but she didn’t enjoy coming down and wanted help. I’d tell her “You got yourself up there, you can get yourself down.”
I have had some very odd cats, apparently – Rusty, an adventurous tabby lady, enjoyed scaling the telephone pole that was behind our house in CA; she sat on top and watch the world … and she had no problem coming back down once she was satisfied with the state of her domains. Boomer, a lovely odd-eyed white gentle-cat, enjoyed high places too; again, he was unafraid of the descent. Akiro, the current house panther, doesn’t seem that drawn to heights, so the issue of getting back down has never arisen.

She’s young and that is a big way down. Afterall she jumped from a back pack not the floor. That is a big difference.

We’re living this. Monroe jumps on the fridge from people’s shoulders. Cats find looking down on humans to be natural.

She needs a human’s help for sure. I’d help her down!

My late Siamese, Yum Yum, used to jump on top of my dryer – washer and dryer are stacked – and then shriek like a banshee to be helped down.

This story is based on my first cat, Gizmo. She could jump to the top of the fridge from the ground, but had to be helped down.

Floof should just jump down and land on the dog for being rude. (I am very much a lover of both cats and dogs.)

My Gizmo would flap her ears rapidly, but couldnt’ fly (unlike the character who is mentioned in the last panel.)

My Orange Tabby jumps from the counter to the top of the fridge and then peers down on us, so cute, and he gets down the same way

“dumb-o dog”
(feels saddened by this part of the dialogue of this cartoon)
