Women marry men hoping they’ll change but they never do. Men marry women hoping they won’t change but they always do.

That Depends™.

Unless she brings some really great qualities herself to the table, this relationship is doomed.

Men never change nor do women.

I’ve heard the following: Men want a woman who won’t change. Women want a man who will change.

Does he know about this yet?

I never saw any need to change my late husband.

Women look at their man and say “He will change”.Men look at their women and say “She will never change”.

Both are usually disappointed.

My wife says for someone who accepts her as she is I changed her more than anyone else in her life.

Young women tend to look at future mates the way a real estate investor looks at farmland; not worth much now, what can I do with it? Men tend to look at future mates thinking, “I am going to get lucky every night for the rest of life.” Both will be disappointed most of the time.

That is the problem with women: They are of the opinion that they HAVE to change a man. Why can’t a woman change to accept a man and make only MINOR (and I STRESS minor) alterations to make him better than what he is.

A defined syndrome found in a lot of women, so common it was used in a Seinfeld episode, the women who are only attracted to men who they know will be bad for them. The man who would be a loving partner for life…? These women are not attracted to them at all.

I use to date women for their potential. It took a relatively long time to discover that everybody has “potential”, by definition.

It’s only fair for a woman to expect a man to change. He should change his underwear occasionally, at least.

the women i dated kept hoping (praying?) that i’d change for the better. their disappointment was palpable…
