I know this joke has been used before but sad trombone IS funnier than a rimshot!

Arc rating: 45\60, joint best so far, more due to consistency rather than hilarity, but idk I just kinda liked the gags! Simple but decent!

This one was kinda mid tbh, and. The whole arc in general isn’t good. Big Nate just doesn’t have the same old laughs. I think I’ll stick to the old ones. 4 1/2/10

A mute would improve the sad sound feeling.

….makes me think of that smarmy trombone that cut loose during the most heart-wrenching part of a rendition of “The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot” that I heard a couple of times around Xmas…….

I think the principal missed a golden opportunity to encourage student participation and contribution into how the school operates…..

If you ask me, the sad trombone is the theme song for school.

That’s the perfect music theme for the principal.

Lowkey one of the funniest strips so far. A! The instrument gag got a bit boring because it was the same thing three times but I’m happy that we get a break from the Lab Duo.

This story arc was ok, I wished the Daphne & Nate arc continued

When I was in elementary, I started singing baby shark in the hallway. In maybe about 5 seconds everyone in the hall was singing along. Even some of the teachers…… I miss elementary lol.
