A beautiful outdoor scene of ‘junk hollow’.

Well drawn, but it’s no Walt & Skeezix fall nature walk.

I wish this strip would do an arc featuring only the animals—Becky, Kitty and her mate (can never remember his name), and none of the stupid “humans” who populate it.

Maybe Boog’s forest friends could join in, and they all can have a merry party.

Some 2 to 3 decades ago, someone was trapped by a blizzard, and called 911. Cellphones were not yet “smart”. Her cellphone battery was low, so she couldn’t keep the call open. Rescuers had trouble finding her. They hoped she would hear a search helicopter and be able to call when she did.

It was proposed GPS receivers be built into cellphones, and the location transmitted with calls to 911. Even though smartphones have GPS receivers, GPS locations are not automatically sent with calls to the emergency number.

Meanwhile, ol’ Ruthless is fading into oblivion.
