I sent in my idea for today’s FA also. This one by 6turtle9 beat my idea fair and square. Hey, I tried. How do cartoonists do this stuff every darn day?
The anthropologists really aren’t joking around when they say cats domesticated humankind, and not the other way around. ’They’re beneath me’ is an all too common thought in supervisors’ alleged brains the world over.
(In a bit of a snit since I missed your canvassing for a punchline, Ms. T. Sorry about that. Only an experienced, well-rounded, highly erudite wordnik such as yourself would feel comfortable with such a gambit. I admire it. And 6turtle9 too, if he didn’t already know.)
Ok, thanks glitchy GoComics. My earlier comment has disappeared. I guess they figured one mention of my lameness in the comics was enough for me for one day. Perhaps it is for the best, the deleted comment truly reached new heights of lame profundity. So now I am back where I belong, way beneath it all. The view is rather interesting, and it’s hard to beat the tinkle down…
Cats are inherently diabolical. That’s why they are always the familiars of witches. Capricious, rubbing up against your leg or lying and purring in your lap one moment, defecating on the dining room table the next [personal catsitting experiences]. Snooty! Aloof!
I have never been a Cat Person, per se, though I tolerate and even sometimes have liked those of extended family or those hangers-around at places I have frequented.
Dogs are more reliable (whether one way or the other). Apologies to any Crazy Cat Ladies (or Guys) reading this, but as the saying has it, it is what it is….

This is entirely true. We have a stray who came to stay, and it does not allow other strays to attend.

Most cats manipulates their owners! They’re aloof, arrogant, and soooo puuurfectly cuddly and lovable!
Who, here, doesn’t move until their cat awakens from a nap on their lap?
Clean the litter box often, so kitty won’t miss?
Give treats at the slightest Meow?
