They need a law that states if you place your product in a bag for sale then that bag needs to be filled with the product, Potato chips and cereals are the biggest culprit, if they want to give you half, they should make the bag half the size! In time you will see soda and beer cans only half filled.
Air in potato chip bags prevents the chips from getting crushed when stacked. And they’re sold by weight, not volume, so additional air costs essentially nothing.
