It seems that fate is impacting his life in a negative way — quite often. In fact so often that the title of this comic was chosen to be the Born Loser. (This is one of life’s mysteries. Why does fate make some people to be born as losers, while others are born with silver spoons in their mouths?)
Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don’t always like. Lemony Snicket
Remarkably astute for a kid who stumbled over Mom’s question yesterday. While Brutus has at least 3 people in his life who control him the fate that makes him a Born Loser is universal!
God has two wills. Perfect will and permissive will. Permissive will means that God may allow you to do something but it is sinful in nature and sin has it’s consequences. And Solomon was very sinful marrying pagan women/creating pacts with pagan nations against God’s command NOT to. Kingdom was lost after Solomon disobeyed God. Many deaths/murder. To please his wives, Solomon even got involved in sacrificing to idols. For a wise man – he turned out a fool. If one thinks they can please 700 wives and 300 girlfriends – they are a big fool indeed.

Wives are the #1 reason for best days and worst days. The other ones just seem to all rate about the same.

I give Brutus credit for even trying to explain fate to a child. I hope this doesn’t make Wilberforce believe he is also fated to be a Born Loser.
