    I think it’s more about finding balance than anything else. Cathy and her mother are really two sides of the same OCD coin. Cathy’s obsessive-compulsive about spending money and following the impulse of the moment, and her mother is obsessive-compulsive about frugality and maintaining the status quo for eternity.

    In other words, Cathy needs to learn to live more for the future than for the present, while her mother needs to learn to live in the moment once in a while. It’s a fascinating contrast.
