An Annie update – she’s actually allowing me to pet her. But only at bedtime snack time when they get their canned cat food. As it started out, she would be rubbing up against kitchen table and chair legs and rubbing against other cats while I dished up cat food into separate bowls for everyone. So when her back was turned, I would try touching her. One night, as I was touching her, she was arching her back, clearly loving being rubbed, but then when I moved my hand closer to her face, she saw it was me rubbing her and not another cat. So she quickly moved away. Since then, I started just rubbing on the middle of her back. Sort of doing a massage on her. And she started really liking that. I’ve been able to touch her almost every night for the past couple weeks or so without her rushing to get away from me. I’ve tried to get her to eat canned cat food from my fingers, but she won’t do that. But at least I’m touching her and I’m able to rub her back for several seconds before she moves away. Usually, she backs off if she sees my hand coming near her, but sometimes, she will allow me to touch her even if she does see my hand coming. Panther is still completely “Hands off – don’t you dare try to touch me!” But as she sees her mom, Annie, allowing me to touch her, maybe Panther will come around too.
I like the first one. (“And now for the Mews: I’m Hungry!”) How true. Cats will definitely let you know when they want to be fed. The other t-shirts are good too. On another note, saw two robins, a dragonfly, two rabbits, a Wilson’s warbler, a butterfly, and a damselfly while out walking today.

Based on the last T-shirt, I take it that Mousie’s has litter boxes?

I’m surprised they don’t sneak out to Mousies every night when Annie goes home. Well, not Oliver or Woof, and not posh enough for Lily.

Mousies seems like a rather disreputable spot.
