Taught my grandkids the sad puppy dawg eyes and the pouty lower lip. Worked pretty good for awhile till one day her dad wouldn’t give in and asked, “Who’s been teaching you that?” Without hesitation my dear sweet little granddaughter pointed right straight to me! Busted!! Tru story!

Sad puppy-dog eyes don’t work quite so well if you’re not a puppy-dog.

My daughters learned I don’t give in. On the other hand I’d try and listen to them before making a decision tried to explain my reasoning. My wife would say whatever popped into her head as an answer, but they could change her mind (sometimes) if they tried asking over and over. Which they did with her (always).

Nelson. take advice from the expert. In my house, repeated whining for a treat gets you a smack on the bottom and a trip outdoors.
