Nelson wants to be doing nothing as well.

Smart kid.

A little positive feedback and some sort of reward might have kept him interested a little longer.

Such a good boy helping out Grampa. I used to help my Grampa walk the fields checking on the cows.

That’s what he thinks.He’ll be back as soon as he realizes grandpa needs his help scratching a spot he can’t reach.

I need some help with that too!

This strip made me laugh. When I was a kid I got up early. My mom asked me once why I got up so early. Before I could answer my dad stepped in and said, “So he can have a longer day to do nothing”.

He needs help doing that?

Nelson needs some kids to play with. Hanging with grandparents all day, every day can’t be fun.

Nelson and Grandpa have a strong bond.

I know the grandparents babysit because Nelson’s parents work, but why would he have his own dresser, and by inference, his own bedroom at the grandparents’ house?

Nelson asks grandma if she’ll give him a dollar for being good. Grandma replies, “Be like grandpa and be good for nothing.”

Started out with nothing and I still got most of it left

Vacation deserves nothing…

When you have done all there is to do and there’s nothing left to do, then go ahead and do nothing.

But it’s just as time-consuming. :)

The downside of doing nothing is that you don’t know when you’re done.
