Well, it’s all too true, probably because Mammals largely evolved as nocturnal critters, where minimal response to EM spectra were called for. And ini those days, light was pretty much all that was on the table, apart from interstellar radio waves. Birds have significantly better vision, though I don’t know if anything is known about whether they can see radio waves and the like.
