All cats should be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and required to be collared and on leash when in pubic and outdoors; just like dogs.

Yes, but cats can be trained to do anything they want to do.

I object to bells on cat collars. Tell me one person who wants constant ringing in their ears.Pet cats belong inside, not outside. If it’s a wild/feral cat, it has to hunt for food and a bell prevents that.

Looks to me like they need a cat that will rid the ship of vermin. It’s getting overrun by them. I guess anything goes in this strip. They sure aren’t “pirates”.

Our cat is indoor only…. safer that way….. but we have a bell on her. It rings when she’s moving faster than her normal pace (which is fairly slow), thereby giving us a clue as to where she is and has she jumped up on something…. up to no good?!!

Once again, the classic and useless argument: cats vs. dogs.

Useless Argument #1: Dogs are better than cats.

Useless Argument #2: Cats are better than dogs.

Rational Discussion #1: Dogs and Cats are two different species and are not interchangeable.

Rational Statement #1 That Cannot Be Argued: I like dogs better than cats.

Rational Statement #2 That Cannot Be Argued: I like cats better than dogs.

Rational Statement #3 That Cannot be Argued: I like dogs AND cats because both species are capable of deeply loving their humans and housemates (dog, cat, birds, etc.)

Rational Statements are endless. Sadly, so are Useless (and Stupid) Arguments.

Meanwhile the mice are eating and pooping in the crew’s food. The birds likewise. The rabbits are stealing the veggies and pooping in the beds. But that’s all ok as long as you beat up on the cat.

A bell never stopped our cat from catching birds, mice or moles. It’s what they are created to do, although we can curb that instinct by feeding them and keeping them indoirs.By the way, dogs kill animals too.

We just installed a large mesh coop in our yard with a run into the house. Our new kitten loves it and he won’t be eating poisoned grass or getting hit by speeding trucks.
