I don’t think that term applies to cops.

60 years ago being a goat was a bad thing. Like a heel, or that or that guy on the team who loses the big game.

I’ve tried, but I simply cannot make my brain cells believe that calling someone a GOAT isn’t a way to pretend you’re being complimentary, when you and everyone else in the English-speaking world knows perfectly well that to call someone a goat is an insult.

I’m from Frank’s generation. I know the new meaning, but I still think of the old meaning.

Chef Cobb invented the Cobb Salad. He was married to actress Gail Patrick who was known in the 1930s and 40s for her work. She played opposite Carole Lombard in “My Man Godfrey” and Lucille Ball, Ginger Rogers and Kate Hepburn (Yes, all three of them) in “Stage Door” and many others. Behind the camera she was a successful clothing designer and the executive producer of the tv show “Perry Mason” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFiLqpPeNK0

And that’s how this post connects to the law.

Frank’s too much of a sports fan not to be familiar with “G.O.A.T.”
