What monster (except from Booth from the TV show Bones) would shoot an ice cream truck?

There was a one-year-only requirement where seat belts had to be fastened to start your car, model year 1974. Public reaction was swift and severe. Congress had to quickly repeal that law and permit the interlock to be overriden.

They don’t have enough flavors, so they’re going to need those vests.

EACH seatbelt!! Even if there’s only one officer in the car, he has to sit in each seat and fasten the belt before the car will start!! Perps and other passengers must also be given vests!!

To receive pay for the day, an officer’s body camera must never be turned off while they are on duty.

Emergencies have not been accounted for apparently.

EG, what if an officer needs to start the patrol vehicle to transport someone to aa hospital, and he has no vest available to put on?

Or his vest has been damaged, say by a gun shot, and he needs to pursue the suspect, but the bullet wiped out the chip?

My mother had seatbelts installed in her cars before they were required, only an option at extra cost. And I always had to sit in the back seat with a seatbelt on. It got so ingrained in me that, to this day (I’m 70 years old), I can’t sit in a car without a seatbelt. It just feels weird!

Oh oh – is are we looking at an upcoming situation in which the ice cream truck cops need their bullet-proof vests?

For the ice cream truck, there will be a mint chocolate chip in the seatbelt that has to touch the chip in the vest.

If the cars the cops drive won’t start without a vest, it’s a little redundant to make vest-wearing also a requirement to pass your course…
