Our Mastiff and one of the Rottweilers figured out the old “hide the pill in the cheese” trick. They’d roll the piece of cheese around in their mouths and then spit out the pill. I miss those pups.
@saylorgirl- Yes, that was kind of dumb. Anybody in the their right mind would automatically know not to give an animal especially dogs, anything like cheese and not remove the wrapping! Dogs will eat anything! And not only that, how does Paul know whether or not Buckles can even HAVE cheese?? Many pet owners and pet parents lose their pets because they don’t consult with their nearest vet or go online and find out what they can and can’t eat!
My son did that with an extremely hot pepper I planned to put it in his supper. He grabbed it and popped it into his mouth saying that it wasn’t too hot. A few seconds late his face and eyes were red. He never did that again!

Best plastic I’ve eaten all day…..

It wouldn’t have made a difference. The sliced cheese that comes in a wrapper still has the taste and texture of the wrapper.

Paul, never dangle cheese in front of any dog without removing the wrapper. Now you have to take Buckles to the vet, again. Poor Buckles…

All dogs always act without thinking when it comes to food.

If you do that with real cheese, you’ll find out why you shouldn’t feed cheese to a dog. It makes them very gassy.
