The third panel with his tongue hanging out is the winner today for me : ) But even with his " sinister " expression in the first two panels he manages to be lovable : )
My dog doesn’t steal food. She just looks at me, hopefully. Quietly and politely. Yet, I can still say no. Sometimes she’s lucky and sometimes not but making a steal attempt would be a firm NO for a long time. Buckles seems to need to have kept the kitten or adopted the stray. He’s bored, needs a playmate more often. He is still a puppy, though. He will learn not to steal food if they train him right.
My Dogs over the years all knew that I’d share with them …… but “AFTER” I was done ……… they would just sit or lay down and wait ……….. then I would make sure that I divided it equally and named each one as they got their treat ……. then I’d say all done, all gone ….. they would go their own ways ……… :)
I love panel three, his tongue sticking out with his goofy face (after being in the former panels with a “skimming” face) is adorable. Though Buckles remains cute the entire strip.

Kinda reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes comic strips where Calvin would pretend that he’s a dinosaur of some kind.
