Must be a one off. I’ve never seen anyone change their minds on a political opinion. They’ll stick to their belief even after being shown the error of their ways multiple times. Especially the fanatical supporters. You know who they are

The problem is that a lot of mockery is not clearly marked (or “mocked”, as we say). Before you know it, you’ve accidentally started a meme completely contrary to your political intent. Whole Presidents get elected that way. :(
