Nate doesn’t really know when he gets insulted does he?

Am I the only one who thought that Daphne’s mom was actually her dad? I mean, her hair is partly cut off from the frame.

Lmao, I just thought, I’d really like to see Nate’s Dad’s reaction to him and Daphne going out.

If anyone remembers how he acted when he found out Nate was going out with Angie and Kelly.

This seems to be looking like Nate’s best relationship

Nate is indeed a very unusual young man

I love how every other Big Nate character is annoyed or perturbed when Nate is weird or dumb but Daphne affectionately rolls her eyes, he’s a weirdo but he’s her weirdo.

I do find it interesting that Nate again bragged on being strong, is this the theme for the week? Nate trying to look ripped for Daphne? A tad unexpected but I’ll be fair to Peirce, it’s sort of fresh, I don’t remember many arcs focused on that! Just hope we get to see some more affectionate moments!

Now for the comic, yeah it’s good, though it’s another comic of Nate flexing again- that’s really it’s only Con though so I give this comic a B+. Happy Fourth BTW

I like Daphne’s little smile and eye roll at the end. It’s like “this guy is so goofy but I love him anyway.”

Show off those “guns” Nate!

Looks like Nate managed to pass the difficult “exam” without too much trouble. HOORAY! Now I wonder if they will meet up with friends at the beach and if Gina will be there. I’d like to see Gina talk very bad about Nate to Daphne.

every single strip has just been the same formula. conversation in the first two panels, Nate says something stupid in the 3rd, and then 4th Daphne rolls her eyes and someone makes an unfunny sarcastic comment. this strip was actually ok but most of the other ones have just been boring

For those who’ve been calling for a Nate-Daphne “date” arc — there you go.

Of course, it’s really a “play date,” as they’re grade (or middle) schoolers, but what else would it be? I wouldn’t expect Lincoln to portray them doing what older people might do on a date.
