we won the C division and our “manager” thought we were ready for the “A” – NOT – IF we made it through the 2nd inning without being 10 runned we considered that a WIN – HIGH FIVE – the other teams would just shake their heads and laugh. They may have invented the “mercy” rule just because of us. the next year we picked a new manager and went back to real life as old geezers.
This comic strip brings back memories of my T-Ball days in Little League when I was just six years old. Scores would often reach the twenties or thirties. My primary role as a catcher was to place the ball on the tee for the next batter.

In Scotland would watch a cricket game where the scores were in the 100s. One batter could get 174 runs!! Took days, strange game.

They needed to score ligament pulls, strained backs, etc. as runs, then they might have won.

Ralph’s more of an all-around sportsman. He has a 72 average in bowling and a 300 average in golf.
