Kitty pool and a litter box

If you hold a shell up to your ear, you’ll hear an angry yellow jacket.

Our neighbor kid had a sandbox when he was younger. By the time we moved in — with our 5 cats — he hadn’t used it for several years. Which was fortunate, as our cats immediately started using it in the way you can easily imagine. He was outraged. We shrugged.

This is dad’s idea of saving other people’s holydays

It’s a set up that (all together now) BUILDS CHARACTER! ;D

And for that he had to pool all his resources……..

Bruh moment.

Calving, what else you need? You are outdoor, sand, water and the sun.

A shark in the inflatable pool and more trash in the sandbox would make it more realistic.

At least you don’t have to worry about sharks in the pool…

Augh, come on! What the puke?! Going to the beach is NOT that expensive!!

Beats not having either pool or sandbox.

I think it’s called a staycation…

On the bright side, no seagulls to try and steal your sandwich. Of course you still have Hobbes around, so it still might get taken…

We put a children’s picnic table next to our blow-up pool. One high dive and two low dives, no waiting. Mom was not impressed.

On the upside: No jellyfish.

The crowds are smaller

Dad’s saving up for Calvin’s reform school education. :)

With all the problems with shark attacks, flesh eating bacteria and so on, you’re a lot safer my crazy little friend!

The drive there and the parking are much better than going to the real beach.

Calvin is such a spoiled brat and a jerk!

Calvin’s still ahead of the game. We had a kid-size pool, but no sandbox! Actually, some of my best childhood memories came from that pool. :)

My dad too Calvin; and as we didn’t know any better, we were happy and good to go! A Firefighter in Colorado supporting a wife and 4 kids wasn’t exactly rolling in cash for beach trips.

After all the trouble you caused at the beach before.

Cool sun, tree shade, sand with provision for making castle, a bathing tub and a close friend. What more do you want young boy from a beach.
