I made “the talk” very special for both of my girls. For each one, I took her to our favorite coffee place that has a couch in a side “room”. We ordered our coffee, went to the couch, and talked. I also encouraged comments and questions, so it wasn’t an “I talk; you listen” situation. That’s better than what my mother did. She handed me an outdated pamphlet (which was actually an ad for ’50s feminine products) and called it a day.
Have a cousin who does “specialty advertising” convention welcome bags, mainly from Adam&Eve website. All the relatives kids come over and help pack the goodie bags, we have some interesting discussions doing that! Ages 10 & up. And 70 y/o “maiden” aunts help out too.

I never got any “talk”— I got a book called “The Catholic Girl’s Guide to Life”. It was mostly “DON’T DO THAT”.

Seems like Mom found out that Paige is flunking zoology.

My older brother told me everything I needed to know, then handed me one of the first Ian Fleming James Bond books. Way better than “the talk.”

I never got the talk either. My first serious gf and I had to figure it out for ourselves and with what little we had learned elsewhere.

Paige is fourteen. How has Andi not already had this talk with her?

My dad’s “advice” on “the birds and the bees”:
’Don’t sit under the former or on top of the latter.’
